The Stables Shopping Centre in Mill Park — a long-established Plenty Road retail centre with multiple tenants, shared carparking, and a mix of surface ages across the carpark. The facility manager asked us to remark the full carpark and update the accessible bays to current AS/NZS 2890.6 IS symbol standards.

One issue came up during assessment that the facility manager hadn't anticipated: several carpark zones were demarcated differently under each major tenant's lease, and those boundaries affected which insurer was responsible for which zone. The previous marking hadn't differentiated the zones clearly — the marking was uniform across a boundary that was legally significant.

We documented the zone boundaries before marking, confirmed them against the lease boundary plan the manager provided, and marked the zone boundaries explicitly into the carpark layout.
