How It Works

How the LMA Contractor Model Works

Line Marking Australia has been completing line marking projects across Australia since 2009. We carry $20M public liability and $10M professional indemnity on every project.

1

We Generate the Lead

Clients find us through Google, referrals, and our client base. We pre-qualify the enquiry and pass it to you by geography.

2

You Quote Under Our Brand

You inspect the site and quote using our framework. The quote goes to the client under the LMA name and letterhead.

3

You Complete the Work

You do the job with your equipment and crew. You carry your own $5M+ PLI. Completion photos and docs go to LMA.

4

We Invoice and Pay You

LMA invoices the client, collects payment, and pays you your agreed share within 7 business days.

No joining fee. No monthly cost. We earn only when you win jobs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a joining fee?

No. There are no joining fees, no membership costs, and nothing to pay upfront. Our revenue comes from a percentage of completed jobs. The specific percentage is discussed during your onboarding call.

How quickly will I start getting leads?

That depends on your state and current enquiry volume. In markets like Sydney and Melbourne, active contractors can expect first jobs within weeks. In smaller markets like Darwin and Hobart, volume is lower. We're honest about this during onboarding.

Can I work under my own business name as well?

Work through the LMA network is completed under our brand. Work you generate independently through your own channels is your business. Any client introduced through LMA remains an LMA client for repeat work and referrals.

What happens if a client isn't happy with my work?

LMA handles the client relationship. If there's a legitimate workmanship issue, you're responsible for remediation. If it's a specification dispute, we work through it together. We've been doing this since 2009 and deal with both fairly.

Do I need state road authority approval?

For off-road commercial work (warehouses, carparks), no. For public roads and council infrastructure, requirements vary by state. VicRoads, Transport NSW, TMR Queensland, Main Roads WA all have their own systems. See your state page for specifics.

What insurance does LMA carry?

LMA carries $20M public liability and $10M professional indemnity for our own operations. This does not extend to you as an independent contractor. You must hold your own PLI at minimum $5M.
