Council-Approved Parking Management Plans and Design Drawings Must Agree — Check Both

A Hoppers Crossing community facility had a council-approved parking management plan that had been amended during the planning process to increase the accessible bay requirement. The facility manager gave us the design drawings — which predated the final amendment and showed the original lower accessible bay count. We marked to the design drawings.

Council's planning inspector reviewed the completed carpark and found the accessible bay count was two fewer than the council-approved parking management plan required. The amendment had been made at the planning approval stage but the design drawings hadn't been updated to reflect it. The facility manager hadn't known the amendment had changed the count.
