Tyre Rubber Ground Into Concrete by Heavy Vehicle Turns Needs CSP-3 — Not CSP-2
A Campbellfield heavy haulage depot had B-double dock aprons where prime movers executed tight turning manoeuvres constantly. B-double tyre rubber mechanically embedded by sustained turning loads penetrates 2-4mm into the concrete surface. CSP-2 removes approximately 0.5-1mm. CSP-3 removes 2-3mm — sufficient to clear the embedded rubber layer on heavily contaminated dock apron zones. We went back, reground to CSP-3 on the dock apron sections, and the second marking has held.
