Line Marking Bayswater VIC

A Bayswater manufacturer had us mark their warehouse including a bay location numbering system. They provided us with their floor plan — a clear drawing with rack positions and bay numbers. We quoted from the plan, completed the aisle and safety markings, then stencilled the bay numbers as shown. When the warehouse manager walked the completed floor, roughly a third of the stencilled numbers didn't correspond to the physical rack positions. The client had moved some racking since the plan was drawn. Nobody mentioned it.

We stripped those stencil positions, walked the floor with the warehouse manager to confirm every rack's current position against the bay numbering they wanted to use, and restencilled. The additional session was on us. The plan was outdated and we had relied on it without a physical walk-through to verify. Current bay layout is now confirmed by physical walk with the client before any stencil work begins, regardless of what the provided drawing shows.

Bayswater is a mid-ring eastern Melbourne suburb — the Dorset Road and Canterbury Road corridors carry trade services, manufacturing, building suppliers, and light industrial businesses. The building stock is genuinely mixed. Some of the industrial buildings are relatively recent; others have been through multiple tenancies and layout changes. Floor plans that match the physical reality exactly are the exception rather than the rule.
