Line Marking Acacia Ridge QLD

A Acacia Ridge food processing business called us after their third line marking job in four years. Third contractor, same result — paint lifting in the production floor zones within six months. They were frustrated. Rightly so.

When we assessed the facility, the problem was obvious in the first five minutes. The concrete floor in the production zone had years of food-grade oil worked into the surface. The previous three contractors had cleaned and painted. None of them had degreased properly, profiled the concrete, or tested moisture. Each coat just lifted off the previous failed one. We stripped everything back to bare concrete, applied commercial alkaline degreaser, allowed 72 hours, moisture tested, surface profiled, then marked with two-pack epoxy. Two years on that floor is still performing.

Acacia Ridge is one of Brisbane's oldest industrial suburbs — established in the 1960s around the Ipswich Motorway and Beaudesert Road corridors. Food processing, printing, manufacturing, automotive. Older buildings, older substrates, accumulated contamination history. The surface prep challenge here is significant. Most contractors skip it because it adds time and cost to the quote. We include it because the alternative is coming back to fix it at our cost.
