5,000+ Line Marking Projects AcrossBrisbane & Queensland Since 2009
A logistics manager in Eagle Farm called us on a Wednesday arvo. Their warehouse floor markings had faded to the point where forklift drivers were guessing lane boundaries. A SafeWork Queensland inspector was due Monday morning. We assessed the site Thursday, quoted by lunch, and had a crew marking 3,200 linear metres of forklift lanes and pedestrian walkways over Friday and Saturday nights. The inspection passed with zero non-conformances.That's the turnaround Brisbane facilities need. Compliant markings that protect you from fines. Completed after hours so your operations keep running. Most projects wrap up in 1-3 nights.
Compliance Risk
Four Acacia Ridge facilities received $4,800+ fines last year for non-compliant markings. We measure twice, mark once, document everything to AS/NZS 2890.6.
Fast Turnaround
3,200 metres in two nights. Most projects wrap in 1-3 nights with zero operational downtime for your facility.
Heat Resistant
Queensland sun is brutal on line markings. We use Grade A thermoplastic rated to 50°C that won't soften in summer. Learned this the hard way in Rocklea back in 2016.

Line Marking Brisbane: What You Actually Need to Know
Line Marking Australia services the entire Greater Brisbane region and South-East Queensland corridor — from Caboolture in the north to the Gold Coast in the south. We have completed carpark, warehouse, and road line marking projects across Brisbane since 2012, and every job is delivered to AS/NZS 2890.1 and AS 1742.2 standards with full compliance documentation.
Queensland's regulatory environment, extreme UV exposure, and subtropical climate all affect how line marking projects should be specified and scheduled. This page explains the key differences and what to expect when you engage us for a Brisbane project.
DTMR Queensland Requirements: What Sets Brisbane Apart
Line marking on Queensland state-controlled roads falls under the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR / TMR) specifications. TMR mandates specific material types, retroreflective performance levels, and application methods that differ from other states. For example, Queensland favours cold-applied plastic and preformed thermoplastic for high-speed roads due to superior heat resistance under the state's intense UV conditions.
For private carparks, AS/NZS 2890.1:2004 applies as in other states, but Queensland councils — particularly Brisbane City Council, Logan City, and Gold Coast City — have additional requirements around stormwater management and surface coatings that can affect the type of paint used in open-air carparks. We ensure every quote accounts for local council requirements.
SafeWork Queensland requirements also apply to warehouse and factory floor markings. Pedestrian-segregation markings, exclusion zones around plant and machinery, and hazardous-area delineation must meet Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 2011 standards. We work directly with WHS officers to ensure compliance before, during, and after application.
Key Brisbane Industrial Precincts We Regularly Serve
Eagle Farm & Pinkenba
Brisbane's airport-adjacent industrial precinct is home to major logistics operators, freight forwarders, and cold-storage facilities. We regularly mark warehouse floors, truck-marshalling areas, and carparks in this zone. Access-restricted airside work requires additional security clearances, which we hold.
Acacia Ridge & Richlands
The Acacia Ridge rail freight terminal and surrounding warehouses generate consistent demand for line marking. Richlands and the broader Inala–Darra corridor contain a mix of manufacturing and logistics facilities where pedestrian-safety markings and forklift-zone delineation are the most common requests.
Brendale & Narangba
North Brisbane's Brendale–Narangba industrial area has grown rapidly over the past decade. New-build warehouses here tend to have polished or sealed concrete floors, which require specific primer systems before line marking paint will adhere properly. We carry the right primers and preparation equipment for these surfaces.
Yatala & Beenleigh
The Yatala Enterprise Area between Brisbane and the Gold Coast is one of Queensland's fastest-growing industrial precincts. Large-format distribution centres, beverage manufacturers, and building-products companies dominate. We frequently complete full warehouse layouts for new tenants moving into spec-built facilities.
Queensland Climate and UV Challenges
Brisbane's subtropical climate presents specific challenges for line marking durability. UV degradation is the primary concern — Queensland receives 20–30% more UV radiation than Melbourne, and standard acrylic paints fade and chalk faster here. We use UV-stabilised formulations for all Brisbane outdoor work, which extends service life by 1–2 years compared to standard products.
Summer storms are the other major factor. Intense afternoon thunderstorms between November and March can arrive with little warning and dump 20–50 mm in under an hour. We schedule outdoor Brisbane work for early morning (5 am–11 am) during storm season to maximise the dry window. All quotes include weather-contingency scheduling at no additional cost.
Humidity also affects drying times. In Brisbane's wet season, we extend recoat intervals and use fast-cure formulations to ensure each coat reaches full hardness before the next is applied or traffic is allowed.
Common Brisbane Line Marking Projects
- Carpark line marking — shopping centres, strata complexes, medical centres, RSL clubs, and council carparks across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, and the Gold Coast.
- Warehouse line marking — pedestrian walkways, forklift zones, pallet locations, hazardous-area hatching, and SafeWork QLD–compliant safety markings.
- Road line marking — private roads, gated communities, council contracts, and school zones throughout South-East Queensland.
- Sports courts — tennis, basketball, netball, and multi-sport courts for schools, community centres, and residential estates.

Frequently Asked Questions — Line Marking Brisbane
How much does line marking cost in Brisbane?
A standard 50-bay carpark re-stripe in Brisbane typically costs $2,000–$4,000. Warehouse floor marking ranges from $3,000 to $12,000 depending on the area and complexity. We provide fixed-price quotes from plans — upload yours here for an exact figure.
Are you TMR approved for road marking in Queensland?
Yes. We use TMR-approved materials and methods for all road line marking in Queensland. For private roads and carparks, TMR approval is not legally required, but we apply the same standards and materials to ensure maximum durability.
How does Brisbane's climate affect line marking?
UV degradation is the biggest factor — standard paints fade 30–40% faster in Queensland than in southern states. We use UV-stabilised formulations on all outdoor Brisbane work. Afternoon storms in summer also require early-morning scheduling. We build weather contingency into every quote at no extra cost.
Can you work in occupied warehouses in Brisbane?
Yes. Most of our Brisbane warehouse work is completed on weekends or during night shifts to avoid disrupting operations. We use low-odour, fast-cure paints suitable for occupied spaces and coordinate directly with your site manager to stage the work around your schedule.
Do you service the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast?
Yes. We regularly complete projects on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, and Toowoomba. Travel charges may apply for locations more than 100 km from Brisbane CBD, but we include these in the upfront quote so there are no surprises.
What paint do you use for Brisbane warehouse floors?
For sealed or polished concrete warehouse floors, we use a two-part epoxy or high-build acrylic with an appropriate primer system. For raw concrete, a single-part acrylic traffic paint is usually sufficient. The choice depends on surface type, forklift-tyre composition, and expected traffic volume — we specify the right system during the quoting process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most Melbourne carpark projects take 1-3 nights depending on size. A typical 200-bay shopping centre carpark takes one overnight shift. We work after hours to avoid disrupting your customers or tenants. A recent Chadstone project with 450 bays took two consecutive nights.
Yes, we regularly work across regional Victoria including Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, and the Latrobe Valley. Our crews travel from Melbourne and can often complete regional projects within the same week of quoting. We've done over 200 projects in Geelong alone.
Yes, we're fully VicRoads approved and AS/NZS 2890.1/2890.6 compliant for all road and traffic marking work. We've completed projects for multiple Victorian councils including Hume, Casey, Wyndham, and Greater Geelong.

All our work comes with a performance warranty. Paint markings are warranted for 12-18 months, thermoplastic for 3-5 years depending on traffic. If there's an issue, we come back and fix it at our cost. We learned this the expensive way in 2017 with a Sunshine West project, so now we only use Grade A materials.
Paint costs less upfront and lasts 12-24 months in high-traffic areas. Thermoplastic costs more but lasts 6-8 years. For busy Melbourne carparks and roads, thermoplastic usually works out cheaper long-term. A Dandenong South warehouse switched to thermoplastic and hasn't needed remarking in six years.
