Line Marking That Keeps Your Handover on Track
Quick answer: Line Marking Australia marks car parks, warehouses, roads and shared paths on new builds across Australia, working from your approved plans and fitting in with your program. Car parks follow AS/NZS 2890.1:2004, accessible bays follow AS/NZS 2890.6:2009 and the number of accessible bays follows NCC clause D4D6, so the work is ready for the certifier.
The building is nearly done. The certifier is booked. Then someone asks who is marking the car park.
Line marking is often the last trade on site. It is also one of the first things a certifier, a council officer or a new tenant looks at. Get it wrong and your handover slips.
That is where we come in. We mark car parks, warehouses, roads and shared paths on new builds across Australia. We work from your approved plans and fit in with your program.
What we mark on new builds
- Car park bays, aisles, arrows and numbering
- Accessible bays with the shared area and bollard
- Pedestrian walkways and crossings
- Warehouse fit-outs, including loading zones, forklift zones and aisle labels
- Subdivision roads, arrows and stop bars, and shared-path bicycle lines
- Bollards, wheel stops and car park layout plans
How we fit in with your program
We mark from the approved plans
Send us the stamped car park layout or the architect's drawings. We price from those, so the bays, accessible parking and arrows match what was approved. If something on site does not match the plan, we tell you before we paint.
We come in at the right time
Paint needs a sound, clean surface. New asphalt needs time to cure first. A new concrete slab needs to be clean and dry, and if it is being sealed, the sealer has to be on and dry first. We talk to your site manager about the right window, then lock in a date.
We work around other trades
On a busy site we can mark in stages. We can do the car park one day and the warehouse floor another. We keep the area taped off until the paint is dry.
Jobs we have done for new builds
In East Brisbane we marked the car park of a new building. That was 8 bays, an accessible bay with its shared zone and bollard, and 44 m of walkway. Read the East Brisbane job.
In Gaythorne, Queensland, we marked a new warehouse. It got a loading zone, forklift zones and aisle lanes A to K. Read the Gaythorne job.
In Catherine Fields, NSW, we marked about 2.4 km of bicycle lines on shared paths in a new estate. Read the Catherine Fields job.
Accessible parking that passes inspection
Certifiers look closely at accessible bays. Under AS/NZS 2890.6:2009, each bay is 2.4 m wide and 5.4 m long. It needs a 2.4 m shared area beside it, with a bollard. The NCC sets how many accessible bays a building needs. That depends on the building type, so check the number with your certifier. We mark exactly what the plans show.
Handover made easy
When we finish, we send photos of the work. If your handover pack needs more, like the paint product details, tell us at quote time and we will include it.
Need a re-mark later, or a change when a tenant moves in? The same team can come back.
How a builder job runs
- You send the approved plans and your target date
- We send a fixed quote for the scope on the plans
- We check the surface with your site manager and lock in a date
- A local crew sets out and marks the site, then tapes off wet paint
- We send photos and anything else your handover pack needs
Why work with us
We have done line marking since 2009. We work nationally through vetted local contractors, so you can call us for a job in Brisbane and a job in Sydney. You get one quote format, one contact and the same way of working on every site.
If your program moves, tell us early. We would rather shift a date than paint on a surface that is not ready.

Builder Line Marking Problems We Fix
We plan every job around how your site runs, so the work fits your hours, your people and your deadlines.
Tight handover dates
Line marking is often the last job before handover. We book your date early and come back in stages if parts of the site are not ready.
Fresh asphalt and new slabs
Paint on uncured asphalt or wet concrete fails early. We check the surface with your site manager and mark when it is ready.
Marking that must match the plans
Certifiers check bays against the approved layout. We price and set out from your stamped plans, and flag anything that does not match before we paint.
Accessible bays getting pulled up
We mark each bay at 2.4 m by 5.4 m with a 2.4 m shared area and a bollard, as AS/NZS 2890.6 sets out.
Other trades on site
We work around landscapers, cleaners and fit-out crews. We tape off fresh paint so nobody drives through it.
Standards & Compliance
AS/NZS 2890.1:2004
The current Australian standard for off-street car parks. It sets bay sizes, aisle widths and how bays are laid out. Bay lines are usually 80 to 100 mm wide, in white or yellow.
AS/NZS 2890.6:2009
The standard for accessible parking (the 2009 edition the NCC calls up). Each bay is 2.4 m wide and 5.4 m long, with a 2.4 m shared area beside it and a bollard.
NCC clause D4D6
The National Construction Code sets how many accessible bays a building needs, based on its use. Your certifier confirms the number for your project.
AS 1742
The manual of uniform traffic control devices. We follow its shapes for arrows, holding lines and pavement words on roads and car parks.
