The SA road authority is the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, known as DIT (previously DPTI). DIT is responsible for SA's statewide road network. For road marking on SA Government-controlled roads, compliance with DIT specifications and AS 1742 series standards is required. Both 'DIT approved' and 'DPTI approved' refer to the same authority — you may see either term depending on the age of the contract documentation.

Income is performance-based — no fixed salary. Active contractors in our Adelaide and SA network maintaining a consistent schedule typically earn between $3,000 and $6,500 per week. Standard thermoplastic rated below 50°C softens at those temperatures and gets lifted by vehicle tyres. We had a Regency Park carpark fail this way in 2016 at 44°C — full remark at our cost, around $8,400.
