Traffic-grade paints are touch-dry in 20-30 minutes under normal conditions. We recommend keeping vehicles off fresh markings for at least 2 hours for full cure. In cold weather (below 10°C) or high humidity, we allow 4 hours minimum. For thermoplastic markings, they're ready for traffic within 10-15 minutes of application.

Yes, we do this regularly. For shopping centres and busy facilities, we work in staged sections, typically completing one area while traffic uses another. Most commercial carparks are done overnight between 6pm and 6am when occupancy is lowest. We provide a detailed staging plan with your quote so you know exactly what to expect.

On well-maintained asphalt with moderate traffic, quality markings last 5-7 years. High-traffic areas like shopping centre entries might need touch-ups every 2-3 years. Factors that shorten lifespan include poor drainage, heavy vehicle traffic, and sun exposure. We recommend annual inspections and can set up a maintenance schedule for larger facilities.

It depends on the condition and whether layout is changing. If existing lines are in good condition and layout stays the same, we can paint directly over them after cleaning. If there's peeling, ghosting from old layouts, or you're changing the design, we recommend removal first. We use water-blasting or grinding depending on surface type. Removal is quoted separately.

Every project includes: before and after photos, compliance documentation referencing relevant AS/NZS standards, material safety data sheets, dimension verification records, and a detailed invoice matching your original quote. For larger projects, we also provide as-built drawings showing exact marking locations. This documentation is essential for council compliance and insurance purposes.
